Saluting Canadian War Veterans on Vimy Ridge Day

While working on Canadian Veterans projects, I had the great privilege and honour to photograph the last two living Canadian World War I Veterans in 2005, Dwight Wilson (L) and Victor (Lloyd) Clement (R) in top left photo.

Today, on Vimy Ridge Day, we salute and remember the valour of Canadian soldiers who took part in World War I. https://bit.ly/vimyridge2025

Next month on May 9, we will celebrate the 80th anniversary of Victory Day, marking the end of World War II in Europe.

My ongoing project, The Last Salute, pays tribute to Canadian World War II veterans, all of whom were over 100 years old at the time they were photographed. Visit https://www.yuridojc.com/the-last-salute to see the portraits and learn more about the project.
